The National Service Scheme (NSS) camp for the students of St. Joseph College of Communication (SJCC) was held from 20 to 26 December 2024 at Sacred Heart School, Kilimala, Paippad. Located just seven kilometers from the college, the school served as the ideal venue for a week-long immersive experience in community service and personal growth. Thirty enthusiastic students participated in the camp, under the guidance of NSS coordinators Mr. Vishnu Nair, Mr. Nidhin Babu, and Ms. Reshma Sera Abraham, making it a meaningful and productive endeavor. During the camp, students dedicated themselves to various activities aimed at improving the school environment and promoting sustainability. They undertook tasks such as cleaning the school campus and implementing measures to create an eco-friendly space, leaving a lasting impact on the institution. Their efforts not only benefited the school but also instilled in them a sense of responsibility toward the community and the environment. In addition to service activities, the camp featured several seminars that provided students with insights into social issues, leadership, and teamwork. These sessions enriched their understanding of the broader societal challenges and equipped them with skills to address them effectively. The NSS camp was a transformative experience, blending service, learning, and camaraderie, and reflecting SJCC's commitment to shaping socially responsible and environmentally conscious individuals.
