A Bachelor's degree in Animation and Graphic Design is an excellent choice for students passionate about creating visually appealing content and aiming for a career in animation or graphic design. This programme offers specializations in either animation or design, aiming to equip students with the skills needed to succeed in these industries.
The curriculum covers a broad range of topics relevant to animation, such as drawing techniques, animation principles, visual development for animation, 2D animation, stop motion animation, acting for animation, 3D modelling, character design, advanced texturing etc.. For design, students learn about colour theory, raster & vector graphics, typography, layout, UI& UX design, packaging design, publication design etc.
Students are trained to use industry-standard software like Adobe Creative Suite, Maya, and Flash for creating animations and graphics. Through hands-on projects and assignments, they gain practical experience, ranging from developing short films to designing logos and branding materials. Real-world projects and internships provide additional opportunities for practical learning in the field.
Programme Duration: 4 years (8 Semesters)
Eligibility: +2 or equivalent
NB: Students have the option to graduate after three years. Upon completion of the required minimum courses totalling 133 credits, they will receive an undergraduate degree in their chosen field. Those who complete four years with a specific number of courses with 177 credits will earn a degree with honours.
