On March 8, 2023, St. Joseph College of Communication hosted a lively and inspirational Women's Day celebration that brought together students, teachers and all staff to celebrate the achievements of women and to discuss the challenges that they continue to face. The programme was inaugurated by Mrs. Latika Subash, Chairperson - Forest Development Corporation. Mrs. Subash spoke passionately about the challenges that women continue to face in today’s world. She also emphasized the role of education in promoting women’s empowerment and encouraged the audience to become agents of change in their own sphere of life. For the noteworthy contributions in their respective fields, SJCC honoured Mrs. Geetha (Retd. Professor, NSS College, Changanacherry), Mrs. Sumi Cyriac (Entrepreneur, Former International Swimmer), and Mrs. Ligi (Social Activist, Founder Thanal- Caring). They also shared their personal journeys and experiences of overcoming obstacles and achieving success, providing insights into the many different paths that women can take to reach their goals. The event ended with student’s cultural programmes, which was a testament to the importance of coming together to make positive difference,
