St. Joseph's College of Communication (SJCC) recently unveiled its newest campus facility - SJCC Fitness! The official inauguration ceremony, held on Wednesday, February 7th at the MV Theatre, welcomed renowned bodybuilder and Mr. India 2023 titleholder, Dudu Antony, as the guest of honour. Academic Director, Fr. Mathew Muriankary, delivered a warm welcome to attendees, while Fr. Jophy Puthuparambu, Director of Media Village Group of Institutions, addressed the importance of fitness in fostering student discipline. He shared his observations of positive changes among students residing at the college hostel, directly attributing them to a focus on well-being. Dudu Antony took centre stage for the inaugural address, emphasizing the importance of maintaining good health, particularly for students pursuing media careers. He encouraged students to prioritize their well-being and capped off his speech with a captivating body showcase, demonstrating his exceptional physique. The ceremony culminated in the grand opening of SJCC Fitness. Each piece of equipment was ceremoniously inaugurated with a demonstration led by Antony himself. The gym is now open to students daily from 6 am onwards, with dedicated time slots to accommodate a maximum of twenty students and a designated slot for female students. This exciting addition to the SJCC campus promises to empower students to prioritize their physical well-being alongside their academic pursuits.
