IIC, SJCC Hosts Workshop on Design Thinking and Innovation Design
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of St. Joseph College of Communication (SJCC) successfully conducted a workshop on Design Thinking, Critical Thinking, and Innovation Design on 26 January 2026. The session was led by Dr. Vincy Mary Varghese, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department at St. Berchmans College, an accomplished academician with expertise in creative and human-centric problem-solving approaches. The workshop provided participants with valuable insights into design thinking methodologies, critical analysis, and innovation-driven frameworks essential for addressing real-world challenges. Through interactive discussions and practical perspectives, the session emphasized creative problem-solving, empathy-driven design, and strategic thinking, encouraging students to approach innovation with a user-focused mindset. The workshop aligned with IIC’s vision of nurturing innovation, entrepreneurship, and critical inquiry among students. The initiative was well received and contributed significantly to strengthening students’ understanding of contemporary innovation practices and design-led thinking.
