The Department of Media Studies, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Bengaluru, successfully organized an engaging Workshop on Photojournalism on 19 August 2025, featuring Mr. Rijo Joseph, Photojournalist at Malayala Manorama. The session offered students a deeper understanding of the art and responsibility behind visual storytelling. Mr. Joseph shared his experiences from the field, highlighting how photographs transcend words to capture truth, emotion, and perspective. The workshop, held from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, brought together students from the MA in Communication and Technology (CTV) and MA in Print and Electronic Journalism (PEJ) programmes (2024 & 2025 batches). Participants explored the technical, ethical, and narrative aspects of photojournalism through interactive discussions and real-world examples. This enriching session inspired future media professionals to view photography not just as an art form, but as a vital tool for shaping stories that matter. Because every picture tells a story worth sharing
