As part of its extension activities, St. Joseph College of Communication, in collaboration with 90.8 Radio Media Village and the District Police, organized a seminar on cyber theft for school teachers of the Kottayam district on 28 November 2024. The seminar was inaugurated by Sri. Shahul Hameed A IPS, the District Police Chief of Kottayam, marking a significant step in raising awareness about the growing threat of cybercrime. The primary objective of the seminar was to educate and sensitize teachers, who play a crucial role in shaping the minds of young students. By equipping teachers with knowledge on the risks of cyber theft and related crimes, the seminar aimed to create a ripple effect, urging teachers to warn and guide students against falling prey to cybercrimes. This initiative was an important part of the college’s efforts to contribute to the community and enhance digital safety awareness.
