On August 13, 2024, the Media Studies Department of St. Joseph College of Communication organized a one-day workshop on Television News Reporting for final-year BA Multimedia students. The session was led by Reshmi Thomas, a seasoned journalist at Manorama News TV, who boasts over 14 years of experience in the industry. The workshop aimed to provide students with practical exposure to complement their academic studies. It featured interactive sessions on key topics such as profile creation, vocabulary building, and effective communication strategies. Reshmi Thomas, who is also an alumna of the college, shared her professional journey and personal memories of her time at SJCC, inspiring the students to reflect on their own aspirations. Throughout the session, students were encouraged to ask questions and seek guidance on their future career paths. The event provided an invaluable opportunity for the participants to gain insights from industry experts and prepare for their transition into the professional world.
