The college took a proactive stance against drug abuse on June 24 by hosting a poignant anti-drug awareness session led by the Excise Department of Kerala. The aim was to educate and empower students against the perils of substance abuse. The anti-drug cell organised the session at SJCC’s premises which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty alike. Representatives from the Excise Department delivered insightful presentations on the detrimental effects of drug addiction and the importance of prevention. Interactive discussions and real-life case studies further underscored the gravity of the issue, emphasizing the role of education in fostering a drug-free community. SJCC partnered closely with the Excise Department to organize the event, highlighting a united front against drug abuse. The session encouraged dialogue and awareness among attendees, fostering a supportive environment for those affected by drug addiction. The anti-drug awareness session is part of ongoing efforts to equip students with knowledge and resources to combat drug abuse effectively. By raising awareness and promoting preventive measures, the college aims to contribute positively to societal well-being. This awareness session serves as a crucial step in the fight against substance abuse.
