World Environment Day Celebration

In celebration of World Environment Day, the Nature Club, NSS Radio Media Village, and the Changanassery Social Service Society collaborated to distribute tree saplings and raise awareness about environmental conservation. The event, held at St. Joseph College of Communication Campus, commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Vipin Raj, Programme Coordinator of 90.8 Radio Media. Fr. Dr. Joseph Parackal delivered the presidential address, emphasising the importance of environmental preservation. Adv. Job Michael, MLA, inaugurated the distribution of tree saplings and highlighted the need for sustainable practises. The NSS unit at SJCC College received the first saplings. Fr. Jophy Puthuparambu delivered the keynote address, emphasising the role of trees in mitigating climate change. Fr. Giju Kulathingal, the Director of CHASS, delivered a felicitation address, encouraging continued engagement in environmental conservation. Mr. Saji Rapeal, Nature Club Coordinator, assured that tree planting activities would continue beyond the event. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Akhil, SJCC NSS Unit Secretary, who expressed gratitude to all participants for their contributions in making the event a success and reiterated the importance of collective action for a greener future. The distribution of tree saplings not only aimed to raise awareness but also promoted action by planting saplings on the campus of SJCC College. This endeavour signifies the college's dedication to creating a greener environment and fostering a sense of environmental responsibility among the students.
