On August 13, 2024, the Media Studies Department of St. Joseph College of Communication organized a one-day workshop on Advertising Film Production, exclusively for final-year BA Visual Communication students. The workshop was led by Binal Babuji, a renowned ad film director and an SJCC alumnus. The event provided budding filmmakers and advertising enthusiasts with a unique opportunity to delve into the intricacies of crafting impactful advertisements. Binal Babuji covered key aspects of ad film production, such as concept development, selecting the type of advertisement, shooting techniques, and idea generation. He enriched the session by sharing examples of his own work, offering students practical insights into the creative and competitive field of ad filmmaking. The interactive session also featured advice on how beginners should approach the industry. Babuji encouraged students to embrace creativity and develop a fresh perspective on advertising. Students expressed their gratitude for the valuable insights shared during the workshop, noting that it not only deepened their understanding of the advertising film industry but also sparked new creative ideas.
