The course is based on basic principles of media production in which can be applied to different aspects of visual media production like news presentation and news reporting. This a practical and theory module, based on current industry practice and the course aim is to equip the students with basic professional practical skills to approach the production of a news bulletin in main stream visual media.

Course Outcome

Students will be able to,

• know role and responsibility of the broadcast journalist.
• Know writing, presenting and reporting stories for television.
• learn various stages of production of a TV news programs.

Ms. Sharlet M George

Ms. Sharlet M George is a well known journalist. She has 7 years of experience in visual media. She worked with main stream news channels like Mathrubhumi news, Reporter channel & Jaihind TV. She performed roles like news presenter, program anchor and reporter. Currently working as assistant professor at St Joseph College of communication.
