A two day national seminar on Film as an Art form: An aesthetic evaluation of moving images was conducted on February 17 and 18 at St. Joseph College of Communication auditorium, with a core view of imbibing students with the true value of art in films
The first day of media seminar was rich with the presence of various eminent personalities like Mrs. Beena Paul (Film Editor & Vice Chairperson, Chalachithra Academy), Dr. P. S. Radhakrishnan (Professor, School of Letters, M.G. University), Prof. Samar Nakhate (Former Dean FTII, Pune), Prof. Jossy Joseph (HOD, Malayalam Department ,Bharata Mata College) and Mr. Kaviyoor Sivaprasad(Renowned Film Maker). The principal of St. Joseph College of Communication Rev. Dr. Joseph Parackal delivered the presidential note. The Executive director Rev. Fr. Antony Ethackad formally invited all the renowned dignitaries to the dais.
The second day was based on the theme” Motion Picture as High Art”. Papers were presented by Ms. Anuradha Mazumdar (Associate Professor, State University of Performing & Visual Arts, Rohtak) ,Mr. Vijayakrishnan (Film Critic) Dr. Biju ( Renowned Film Director) and Dr. Aju K. Narayanan (Assistant Professor, School of Letters M.G. University). The seminar concluded with an open forum for students.
